The Wesson Cobras suffered a disappointing season opener Friday night at the hands of the Lawrence County Cougars.

The Cougars dominated the field and racked up the points for a 59-6 win over the Cobras.   The Cobras’ offense had 8 turnovers and the defense couldn’t keep the Cougars out of the end zone.  The Cobras will host the Sumrall Bobcats Friday, Aug. 29 in Wesson at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.  Game time starts at 7 p.m.
