Miss Granger is the 18-year-old daughter of Chris and Amanda Granger of Wesson. She is a 2014 graduate of Wesson Attendance Center and is now a Freshman at Southwest Community College in Summit. She attends Bethel Baptist Church in Hazlehurst.
Over 100 contestants in the Junior Miss, Miss Teen, Miss and Mrs. Magnolia State categories will be competing in the state finals to win one of the coveted titles of Miss Magnolia State.
Contestants will compete in interview, casual wear and evening gown competitions. The state winners will each receive $1,000 cash scholarships and a Caribbean cruise and will serve as the state winner making appearances throughout Mississippi during her year of service.
Preliminary pageant competition will take place on Saturday, Nov. 22, beginning at 6 p.m. and the pageant finals with the semi-finalists being named and new winner being crowned will take place Sunday, Nov. 23 beginning at 2 p.m. To support your hometown contestant, visit the website at www.missmagnoliastate.com or go to the Miss Magnolia State Pageant facebook page to vote for the People’s Choice Award.
