Burglars preying on churches, police chief says

Chief Byron Swilley welcomed citizens and special guests, Sheriff Harold Jones, and Circuit Court Administrator, Sherry Davis Shannon to the latest Chat with the Chiefs meeting last Thursday.

 “We want you to know what is going on in Copiah County, and our special emphasis this session is on security of our churches,” Chief Swilley said.  “There have been several church burglaries recently, and we want you to be aware of steps you can take to help prevent an attempt on your church,” he added.
