Cobra netters advance to state tourney

The Wesson Cobra tennis team has placed 8 team members in the Individuals State Championship after their success in the District 7 Region VII tournament last week.
Erich Fischer (boys singles), Reid Crow and Amber Brinson (mixed doubles), Kimberly San (girls singles) and Logan Channell and Ray Drane (boys doubles) all won district championships and move on to the state tournament.  The girls doubles team of Maya Granger and Morgan Wesley also qualified by placing second.

This past Monday the Cobras faced off with Morton at Co-Lin in the first round of the state playoffs.  No result was reported before deadline.
