The City of Hazlehurst is sponsoring the 150th anniversary celebration of incorporation of Hazlehurst on Sunday, November 1, from 2 o’clock to 8 o’clock in the evening.

A special welcome by Mayor Henry Banks will be followed by the Hazlehurst High School band marching into and through downtown.  Renee Berry will sing the national anthem.

Music will be performed by the Dixon Singers, By Faith, Steven Johnson and Robert ‘Juice’ Lenoir.  Dancers from Tracy’s Creative Dance Studio will also be performing.

Allen Volunteer Fire Department will be vending fried catfish.  A birthday cake and cupcakes will be provided.

Children will enjoy free small train rides and a kid zone.

The entire event is sponsored solely by the city.
