“Christmas All Aboard 150” is the theme for the 2015 Hazlehurst Christmas Parade sponsored by the Hazlehurst Area Chamber of Commerce. The parade is scheduled for this Sunday, December 13 at 3:30 in the afternoon. A brief fireworks display in mid-town on Caldwell Drive will kick off the parade.
Entrants should meet at Hazlehurst High School at 3:00. The parade will begin on McDaniel Drive, turn north on Extension at First Baptist Church and wind north onto Caldwell, then terminate at Bumper’s Drive In.
The Chamber is asking community organizations, businesses, churches and other groups to place more floats in the parade this year than in years past. Decorated cars and trucks are also welcome. A goal of 150 entries–coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the incorporation of the town–has been set forth by the chamber. Contact the chamber at 601-894-3752 for an entry form.
In case of a rain out, the parade will be held Monday, December 14 at 6 p.m.
