Hundreds of HCSD scholars get new shoes

Young children in the Hazlehurst City School District received a big surprise last week that will help make their school year even better. Some were excited, some were a little apprehensive and some weren’t sure what to think when several area adult volunteers sat down with them, washed their feet in clean water and fitted them in brand new sneakers.
