Presbyterian Church welcomes new pastor

The congregation of First Presbyterian Church, Hazlehurst, is pleased to welcome Benjamin D. Ratliff as pastor and preacher.
Ben is married to the former Caitlin M. Wolfe. Caitlin is from Jackson, and graduated from Mississippi State University.
Ben is from Jackson as well, and is a graduate of Belhaven College and Reformed Theological Seminary, both in Jackson. For the last three years he served as the Assistant Pastor at Providence Presbyterian Church in Salisbury, Maryland.
Ben has stated that he is excited to be in Hazlehurst and to be serving at First Presbyterian.
Rick Akin, the Clerk of Session at First Presbyterian, stated that the congregation hopes and prays that the Lord will work through Ben’s labors to grow the church and proclaim the Gospel in Hazlehurst and Copiah County.
