HHS Spirit Award

The Michael “Moochie” Williams Memorial Spirit Award was established in 2010 in memory of Michael “Moochie” Williams, a friend of the Hazlehurst Community Sports League and a longtime supporter of the Hazlehurst High School Booster Club. The Michael  “Moochie” Williams Memorial Spirit Award recognizes the student-athlete who not only gives the absolute best of themselves every day on and off the field of competition, but who also brings out the best in those around them through their positive attitude, relentless work ethic, and their consistent commitment to academics and athletic performance development. The 2017 recipient of the award, DeArrius Rhymes, was selected for this award based on his dedication to the sports, great personality, positive attitude, and respect for others. The 2017 Michael “Moochie” Williams Memorial Spirit Award was awarded May 22 at the Hazlehurst High School Class Night to senior DeArrius Rhymes.
