Crystal Springs officials in regular session October 1 agreed to advertise for proposals for solid waste pickup after expiration of their contract with Waste Management on January 1, 2020. Parks and Recreation reported that the Rock the Park event was successful with 800-900 attending. Upcoming events include a Band Festival on October 5, Fall Flower and Garden Fest at the Experiment Station on October 11 and 12, Fall Bazaar and Halloween Derby on October 19, Pumpkin Palooza and Cemetery Tour on October 26. Officials adjourned to meet November 12 at 6 p.m. because of an election conflict on the regular meeting night.
