$3,350.00 gift to Diabetes Foundation honors Teagan Demorest

COPIAH ACADEMY second grader Teagan Demorest was diagnosed in June 2018 with Type 1 diabetes. To show their love and support, her classmates participated in a FUNdraiser consisting of a “Walk-a-thon, Read-a-thon, and a Silver War. In just three days $3,350.00 was raised to honor Teagan. She’s pictured holding the check that was presented to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi Oct. 6 at the “Walk for Diabetes”. Teagan is pictured with her second grade classmates, Mrs. Lora Martin, Mrs. Susan Toney, Mrs. Stephaney Ashley, and her teacher, Mrs. Sally Selman.
