$1,467 Lions profit from barbecue fundraiser

Lion Walter Rielley announced at the Oct. 14 meeting of the Lions Club of Crystal Springs that the profit from their October barbecue fundraiser was $1,467. Jerry Calloway reported a successful vision screening project held in September at Crystal Springs High School and Crystal Springs Middle School. He said 2,500 students were served district wide. Lions president Buchanan announced that reports will be received from the constitution committee and the budget committee at the November 11 meeting. He also announced the annual Lions Club Christmas dinner will be Dec. 9 at the Lee Avenue Community Center.
