By Tricia Nelson Home & Garden Television (HGTV) is on the search to select a town to receive a full makeover and Crystal Springs will throw its name in the hat. Erin and Ben Napier, hosts of HGTV’s Home Town which is set in Laurel, will be the hosts of Home Town Takeover. The production team is looking for a town with a population of less than 40,000, great architecture that needs to be revealed, and a Main Street that may need a lift. Applicants are encouraged to submit a video tour of the area showing buildings and spaces that need a makeover, an explanation of why the town could use some “love”, and what there is to love about it. A video and up to five photos can be submitted through the website by the deadline February 7. For updates, visit the Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
