Marietta B. Norton

Marietta B. Norton, 97, of Wesson, passed away July 21, 2024.  Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. with the service at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 24, at Pleasant Valley Methodist Church, with burial at the church cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Norton was a member of Pleasant Valley Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.  She was an artist, poet, and seamstress.  She loved her family and studying her bible.  Mrs. Norton operated a dairy farm for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Norton, and parents, Henry Harold Blackmon and Modena Lamar.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula Sue Kyker (William Kyker Jr.) and Mary Roberta Norton; and three grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Kyker, William Franklin Kyker III, and Ashley Amanda Thompson (Mathew).
