Henry Lee Bland

Henry Lee Bland, 79, of Hazlehurst, passed away Aug. 24, 2024.  Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with the service to begin at 11, Wednesday, Aug. 28, at New Providence Baptist Church, with burial at New Providence Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

Mr. Bland was a lifetime member of New Providence Baptist Church.  He enjoyed being with his church family and loved all the kids.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in yards, and all-around carpenter and maintenance work.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Elaine Odom Bland; and daughters, Mellisa Anne Bland and Deborah Lee Bland Delaney.

He is survived by grandchildren, Amber Delaney and Nathan Delaney; sister, Betty Ruth Higgs; and brother, Rubin Bland.
