Janice Lunceford

Janice Parker Lunceford, 88, of Crystal Springs, passed away on Dec. 13, 2024. A private graveside service will be held in Longtown. Stringer Family Funeral Service in Crystal Springs handles all the arrangements.

Janice was born Feb. 27, 1936, to the late John Walter and Merle Parker in Cruger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Ferrell Lunceford, and her son-in-law, Kent Newman.

Janice is survived by her two daughters, Stephanie Cockrill, of Jonesboro, Ark., and Pharis Newman, of Crystal Springs; her son-in-law, Al Cockrill; and her grandchildren, Pharis Phillips, Allen Cockrill, and Parker Newman.

Janice made Crystal Springs her home after she and her husband retired from Northwest Community College. Janice was active in the Crystal Springs Methodist Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and numerous community organizations. Janice enjoyed handwork, gardening, and spending time with her family.
