Levenia McKinzie Windom

Mrs. Windom was born on Nov. 23, 1935, to William Eli and Ruth Lou Teresa Ashley McKinzie.  A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she faithfully worked and served her Lord in her home and at Bethel Baptist Church; teaching Sunday School, being GA and Acteens leader, Discipleship Training director, and always a part of VBS. She touched many lives of those that have gone out from Bethel and those that have stayed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; the light of her life, son Vann; grandson, Mackenzie White; eight sisters and three brothers, Delah, Nell, Bernis, Mildred, Emma Lee, Wilma, Viola (Cooter), JC, Christine, William, and Jane; and a host of nieces and nephews who were all dear to her heart.

She is survived by her husband of 71 and a half years, Vance Windom; daughter, Mytra White (Randy); daughter-in-law, Denise Windom; grandchildren, Preston (Rhonie), Jonathan (DeAnn), Matthew White, Bethany (Brian) Martin, Vance (Courtney), and Tyson (Ashley) Windom, and “adopted son,” Sam Chenn-Nomenn (Anna); great-grandchildren, Canderous, Jax, Vash, Harlow, Oliver, Gannon and Olivia, Gracyn, Ethan, Blayten, Addie, Tyson Jr., Aubrey, Colt, Sam and Simon Peter; and many special nieces and nephews who have been loved by her and have loved her dearly.

We are very grateful for the loving care of service by Deaconess Hospice, Heidi Cain, RN; Schennay Butler, CNA; Taylor Sergeant, RN; and all those behind the scenes. A very heartfelt thank you to nephew and niece, Robert and Debra Gladden, who have been there with us from the beginning to the very end.
