Angy Fay Tenhet Clower

A celebration of life will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, for Angy Faye Tenhet Clower, 71, who passed away on Oct. 5.  Service will be at North Monroe Baptist Church in Monroe, La., with Warren Eckhardt and Donnie Stuart officiating.  The family requests that visitation be observed on Saturday, Oct. 25th from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

A brief graveside service will be held at Old Crystal Springs Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1.

Angy was born on June 29, 1954. She graduated from Crystal Springs High School, Class of 1973.  Her most important job was being a loving wife to her husband and devoted mother to her children.  She loved her job as a stay-at-home mom until her children graduated college, and then she thrived in her career working at the Ouachita Parish Public Library.

Angy was very creative and had a keen eye for noticing the beauty and details in everything.  Photography was her real passion, and she enjoyed capturing life.  She almost always had a phone or a camera in her hand ready so as not to miss any moments that should be recorded.  Angy had a special gift of noticing when someone needed kindness.  Sometimes it was a listening ear, giving advice, a small gift or card, or providing help when someone was in need financially.  Service to others was near and dear to her heart.

She is survived by her husband, John Clower; daughter, LaTanya Clower Smith and husband Myrden “Bo” Smith; son, Jesse Fox Clower; brother, Samuel P Coley Jr. and family; bonus grandsons, Courtney and Matthew; grand-goddaughter, Claudia and family; nephews and their families; and countless friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Opal Anise Coley; father, Arthur Allen Tenhet; stepfather, Samuel P. Coley; brothers, Arthur Allen Tenhet Jr. and Marshall Felix Tenhet; and sisters, Sherri Denise Tenhet, MaryAnn Bush, and Christine Dozier.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests participating in the “Angy Clower Kindness Project,” where you pay it forward with acts of kindness, donations, or service work as a need is encountered in remembrance of Angy.
