Lottie Elaine Stuart

Lottie Elaine Stuart, 84, of Crystal Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 1, 2025. She was born on April 4, 1941, in Osyka, daughter of the late William Robert McElveen and Edith Marie Bullock White.

Mrs. Stuart was preceded in death by brothers, W. R. McElveen, Gene McElveen, and Paul McElveen; and great-granddaughter, Ainsley Kathryn Hayes.

Mrs. Stuart is survived by her loving husband, Hubert D. Stuart Jr.; sisters, Linda Dear, of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Ann Mullins, of Byram; and brother, Douglas McElveen, of Hazlehurst.

She is also survived by her children, Kathryn Elaine Stuart Vinson and husband Jerry L. Vinson, of Fairview, Tenn., and Nicky Doyle Stuart and wife Joyce Stuart, of Crystal Springs.

She is survived by her grandchildren on her daughter’s side, Amanda Diane Fiser and husband Tony Fiser; great-grandchildren, Ava Kate Fiser and Aiden James Fiser, and Kathryn Lauren Hayes and husband Jeff Hayes.

She is survived by her grandchildren on her son’s side, Jonathan Ray Stuart and wife Danya; great-granddaughters, Sabre Stuart, Kimberly Elaine Moore and husband Andrew; great-grandsons Judge Moore, Joshua Stuart, Jeremy Berry; great-grandchildren, Brady and Ruby Berry, Candace Greer; and great-granddaughter, Camryn Greer.

For over 25 years, she worked for Bell South Telecommunications.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4, at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. The service will be at 2 on Thursday at Stringer Family Chapel, with Dr. Stan Weatherford officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Jonathan Stuart, Jeremy Berry, Joshua Stuart, Andrew Moore, Brady Berry, and Camryn Greer.
