Bennie Ray Myers Sr.

Bennie Ray Myers Sr., 78, of Crystal Springs, passed away on Feb. 16, 2026, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs, with burial to follow in Old Crystal Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon until 2 on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Myers had been a resident of Crystal Springs since 1999, having moved from Jackson. He faithfully worked for over 30 years with Unified Brands in Byram, where he built not only a career but lasting friendships. Bennie was known for his steady work ethic, his loyalty, and his deep love for his family.

He was married for 50 wonderful years to the love of his life, Judy Long Myers. Together, they built a life centered on family, faith, and simple joys. Bennie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who cherished time spent with those he loved most.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.D. and Elizabeth Myers; his beloved wife, Judy C. Myers; his children, Bennie Ray Myers Jr., Johnny Busby, Cindy Busby, and Anna Busby; his sister-in-law, Brenda Myers; two grandchildren; and Jeb, his faithful and loving four-legged companion of 10 years.

He is survived by his children, Robert Busby and wife Paige, and Joanne Dur and husband Leonard; 10 grandchildren; a passel of great-grandchildren; siblings, Billy F. Myers, Mary M. LeBlanc and her husband, LJ LeBlanc; several nieces and nephews; more great-nieces and great-nephews than you can shake a stick at; and many, many dear friends.

Bennie’s legacy of hard work, devotion to family, and steadfast love will live on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
