Elmer Andrew Tillson

Elmer Andrew Tillson, 92, went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2026, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins. His loving wife and devoted son, Tim, were by his side.
Elmer was born on June 5, 1933, in Brookhaven to Martin Andrew Tillson and Almo Pearl Smith Tillson.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Little Tillson; sons, Todd Andrew Tillson (Julie), of Gilbert, Ariz., and Timothy Guy Tillson (Melissa), of Brandon; and grandchildren, Shelby Tillson, Jared Tillson, and Kayla Tillson. His siblings include Jimmy Tillson and Phyllis Tillson Long (Tommy).
Elmer graduated from Crystal Springs High School in 1954 and soon afterward entered the United States Air Force. While serving in the Air Force, he trained in electronics, which led to his 35 years of ownership in his television business. He later worked at the AT&T Data Center, from which he retired.
A faithful member of First Baptist Church, Crystal Springs, Elmer ran the sound system for church services, served as secretary of Sunday School, greeted people as an usher, and served as a deacon for many years. He loved working with the men of the church, building ramps for shut-ins, and helping complete the interior of the Recreational Outdoor Center (ROC).
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 13, at First Baptist Church, Crystal Springs, with burial at Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 2 on Friday at the church.
Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.
