Dorothy Powers

Dorothy Louise Powers, 81, of Crystal Springs, was reunited with her family in heaven on June 5, 2026. She was born in Grenada on Feb. 18, 1945.

Miss Dot was preceded in death by her loving parents, Modest and JK Powers, and nephew, Steven Vail.

She attended the Mississippi School for the Blind and was a member of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley Vail (Danny); niece, Lisa Sanders; many friends and church family of Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church; and a special friend, Terry Parish, whom she called Sunshine.

The service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 8, at Stringer Family Chapel, with burial at Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday from 10 to 11 at the funeral Home.
