Dorothy Mae Edwards

Dorothy Mae Edwards, 70, passed away on June 12, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 19, at Springs of Praise Church in Crystal Springs. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs.

Dorothy was a devoted homemaker who loved her family deeply. She found great joy in caring for those she loved and treasured the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and extended family. Her kindness, love, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John Miles Edwards, and parents, Walter and Adel Burgess Lucius.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Isaac Edwards, Joshua Edwards (Sheena), Caleb Edwards (Carlye), and John Edwards (Sara); her daughter, Hope; nine beloved grandchildren; her brothers, Walter Lucius, Marty Lucius (Patsy), and David Lucius (Kim); her sisters, Francis Tedder, Sandra Sartin, Gail McCarver, Louise Prewett (Kenneth), Tina McCarty (Donnie), and Lisa Lucius; and a host of friends.
