Hazlehurst and Crystal Springs met on the baseball diamond last week in Region 7-3A action. The Indians held an early lead at 5-2 in the bottom of the second inning.  The Tigers scored six runs in the next three innings and held Hazlehurst scoreless to win 8-5.

UPDATE: Gable Lee Counts, charged with murder of Joseph Lee Mitchell of Wesson, was denied bond after his initial hearing in Copiah County Justice Court on Tuesday.  He will remain in the Copiah County Detention center while the investigation continues.
