James Garland Coldiron, 82, of Union Church, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007 at his residence at Brook Manor Nursing Home in Brookhaven.
Services were held Thursday, Jan. 3, from Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst.
Mr. Coldiron was a native of Goodnight, Texas and had lived in the Union Church area since 1958. He was a retired CPA and formerly worked for the MS. State Tax Commission, and the State Department of Corrections and served on the Peer Committee. He was a cattle rancher and a member the Brookway Church of Christ in Brookhaven.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marceline Varnado Coldiron, and grandson, James Ethan Coldiron.
Survivors include: his son, Jimmy Coldiron and wife Lori of Union Church; daughter, Marlene Cupit and husband Malcolm of Union Church; brother, Bobby Kent Coldiron of Phoenix, AZ; and granddaughter, Anna Katherine Coldiron.
