Benton John Morris

Benton John Morris, 26, formerly of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008,  in Indianapolis, IN.

Services were held Saturday, Jan. 19, from Pathway Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis with Dr. Elvis Colenberg of  St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Hazlehurst officiating. Interment was in Sutherland Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.

Mr. Morris was born Nov. 18, 1981 in Indianapolis and later moved to Hazlehurst. He returned to Indianapolis with his family and was the owner of a limousine Service and his own clothing line “Men of Wisdom” Made of Men.

Survivors include: parents, Jerry and Charlane Stanfield of Hazlehurst; sisters, Stacy Jones of Hazlehurst, and Robin Ann (Doug) Tharpe of Indianapolis; brother, Brister (Tia) Morris, Jr. of Indianapolis; step-brothers, Tim and Byron Stanfield; step-sisters, Stefani, Kelly and Ebony Stanfield; grandmother, Virgie Custom; and a special friend Amber Dugan.
