Nina Mae Christmas

Nina Mae Christmas, 78, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2008 at Pine Crest Guest Home.

Services were held Saturday, Dec. 27, from Mt. Sinai United Methodist Church with Rev. W. Charles Bryant officiating. Interment was in Old St. John Cemetery in Wesson with House of People Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Christmas was born June 16, 1930 to Letha Smiley and Alonzo Williams. She was a member of Mt. Sinai UMC in Hazlehurst. In 1947, she married Murray Lee Christmas, Sr., who preceded her in death.

Survivors include: daughter, Jolynn (Robert) Hall of Hazlehurst; sons, Billy (Eleanor) Lockwood of Rio Vista, CA, Murray Lee (Gladys) Christmas of Hazlehurst, Willie (Barbara) Christmas of Jackson and Larry (Donna) Christmas of Hazlehurst; step-daughter, Ravae  Johnson of Hazlehurst; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and special friends, Deloise Norrells, Linda Faye Martin, and Shirley Jean Linson all of Hazlehurst.
