Gloria Elizabeth Farrar

Gloria Elizabeth Farrar, 78, of Wesson, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. 

Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Thursday at Strong Hope Baptist Church.  Services will be 10am Friday at Strong Hope Baptist Church with burial in Beauregard Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

 Mrs. Farrar was a native of Vicksburg.  She graduated from Clinton High School and Mississippi College with a BA in Education.  She formerly lived in Jackson where she taught for several years.  She moved to Wesson in 1975 and worked at Modern Engineering for several years.  Mrs. Farrar was a member of Strong Hope Baptist Church.
 
Mrs. Farrar was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, her parents, and three infant children.
 
She is survived by sons, Peter M. Lawrence of Crystal Springs and Timothy A. Lawrence of Wesson; daughter, Gloria E. Turner of Wesson; sisters, Barbara Sprout, Gladys Beatty, and Linda Axton all of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Van Turner, Kim Runyan, Brand Turner, David Lawrence, Brandy Lawrence, Melissa Lawrence, Timothy Lawrence, Jr., Russell Lawrence, Joe Turner, Justin Turner, and April Cline; and 21 great grandchildren.
