Hugh E. Bailey

Hugh E. Bailey, 96, of Crystal Springs, died Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. 

Visitation will be 1pm-3pm Saturday at Stringer Family Funeral Home.  Services will be 3pm Saturday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial in Crystal Springs Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.

Mr. Bailey was a native and lifelong resident of Crystal Springs.  He was the oldest and longest member of First Baptist Church, Crystal Springs.  He worked for Kitchens Wholesale Grocery. Later he worked for Corr-Williams until retiring and later worked for H. C. Bailey until retiring 2 years ago.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mattie Lou “Boots” Bailey.
 
He is survived by daughter, Frieda Bailey of Crystal Springs and sister, Nell Ervin of Brandon.
 
Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland or Mississippi Animal Rescue League.
