Horace Bradley

Horace Bradley, 80, formerly of Copiah County, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 20, at 11:30 a.m. at House of Peoples Funeral Home Chapel in Hazlehurst.

Mr. Bradley was born Aug. 21, 1929, to Horace and Luella Bradley. He was one of 11 children, six brothers and four sisters. Before his illness he enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and often won blue ribbons from LSU School of Agriculture. He was a member of East Jerusalem Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA, before moving to Shreveport, LA, where he joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Mr. Bradley was married to Velma Lewis in March of 1950 and later divorced. To this union four children were born: daughters, Kippi and Jacquelyn; and sons, Wendell and Glynn Alvin.

Survivors include: four children; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
