Gary McCaa Russum, Sr.

Gary McCaa Russum, Sr., 75, of Wessn, died Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven.

Visitation will be held From 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 9, at 11 a.m. at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson. Rev. Danny Forestor, pastor of Wesson Baptist Church officiated.

Mr. Russum lived most of his life in Port Gibson where he was a graduate of Port Gibson High School and a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Port Gibson were he served as Deacon. He was a diesel mechanic, employed by the Charles Donald Pulpwood Co. in Port Gibson for 50 years. He was a member of  the Miss. F&AM #3 in Port Gibson and also a member of Wesson Baptist Church in Wesson.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Renee Stevenson.

Survivors include: wife, Sybil Scott Russum; son, Gary McCaa Russum, Jr. of Wesson; brother, George Russum of Lorman; sisters, Kathleen “Katie” Donald of Port Gibson and Nell R. Gill if Raymond.
