John Thomas Hamilton

John Thomas Hamilton, 78, of Wesson, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at his home.

Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 18 from 5-9 p.m. and Tuesday 8 a.m. until service time at Brookhaven Funeral Home. Services begin at 2 p.m. with interment in Wesson City Cemetery.

Mr. Hamilton was born May 15, 1932 in Arkansas to Bertrand and Willie Alma Allen Hamilton. He was self-employed owner/operator of Hamilton’s TV and Appliance of Wesson for over 40 years. He was a member of Wesson Baptist Church and an active member and past president of the Wesson Lions Club; member of the American Legion; and the Wesson Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Hamilton served during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Jane Case Hamilton; and one brother, Hugh William Hamilton.

Survivors include: sons, John Mark Hamilton and Darrell Hamilton, both of Wesson; daughter, Paula Dawn Berry of Wesson; brother, Bob Hamilton of Kennerwick, WA; sisters, Mary Huxham of Waterloo, IA, Eudie McMullin of Jacksonville, AR, and Glenda Holland of Tabb, VA;six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
