Terry Hust
Terry Hust, 68, of Utica, died Wednesday, January 5, 2010 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Visitation will be 12pm-2pm Saturday at New Zion Baptist Church.
Services will be 2pm Saturday at New Zion Baptist Church with burial in the
church cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs is
handling arrangements.
Mr. Hust was born September 1, 1941 in Charleston, SC. He grew up in Artesia, MS and later moved to Jackson where he attended Provine High School. He married his high school sweetheart and they were married 47 years. He was a faithful husband and loving father of 3 children.
Mr. Hust only held one job, Illinois Central Railroad, and retired after 42
years. He was a faithful member and deacon at New Zion Baptist Church, Crystal Springs. He was known in the community to bring homemade soup or chili to church members and loved to visit.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Lamar Hust and his mother, Palma Emma Laura Gentry Hust and a grandson, Jared Elijah Hust.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Griffith Hust; sons, Terry Leigh Hust, Jr.
and wife Kendra of Crystal Springs, Troy Lamar Hust and wife Sherry of Flowood; daughter, Katherine Michelle (Missi) Perry and husband Steven of Flora; brother, James Lamar Hust of Jackson; grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Taylor, Christian, Christina, Haleigh, Caleb, Isabelle, and Lily.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his honor for
Leukemia/Lymphoma Society of Mississippi Chapter, 601-956-7447
