Mattie Doris “Jackie” Farrar Beall

Mattie Doris “Jackie” Farrar Beall, 86, of Wesson, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 20, from 6-9 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, Brookhaven.

Services will be held Monday, March 21,  at 10:00 a.m. at Zion  Hill Baptist Church in Wesson with interment in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Beall was born June 20, 1924 in Copiah County to Robert A. and Mattie McCardle Farrar. She was retired from Potter Company. She was a lifelong member of Zion Hill Baptist Church where she wrote, composed and performed countless songs throughout the years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Prentiss Beall; brothers, Ernest, Robert, Pete and Buford Farrar; and sisters, Gladys Stegall, Mary Walker, Sally Walker, Lou Van Berry and Bobbie Nell Beall.

Survivors include: son, Ricky Beall and wife Elaine of Wesson; daughters, Sandra Tressler, M.D. and husband Steve of Montoursville, PA and Susan Nevels and husband Donnie of Brookhaven; grandchildren, Erin and Chad Tressler of Montoursville, PA, Amanda Everett and husband Michael, Jennifer Fortenberry and husband Jarrett, and Benjamin Beall, all of Wesson; and three great grandchildren.
