Ted Berry
B. B. (Ted) Berry of Crystal Springs,died Thursday, September 13, 2012 at his residence
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Crystal Springs. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in the Bridgeport Community.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 14th at Stringer Funeral Home in Crystal Springs.
Ted was born in Simpson County, April 7, 1933. He was a retired farmer, public official, and business owner. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs, where he served as deacon, Sunday School teacher, and was active in Men’s Brotherhood and other church ministries. He was a Gideon, a member of Jaycees and Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, the Cattlemen’s Association, and other civic and community organizations.
Predeceasing Ted were his parents, Donnie L. and Nina Harrison Berry; his brothers, D. L,. Jack, Alvin, Casa, and Arnold. He was also preceded in death by his previous wife, Faye McDonald Berry and infant daughter, Pamela.
Survivors include: Peggye Little Berry, his wife of 39 years; daughter Rhonda Reeves (Sonny); sons: Kurt, Kelley, Joshua and Jonathan (Reagan); and granddaughter, Stella Rea and grandson, Addis. He is also survived by two brothers: Reford and Winton Berry, and numerous nieces and nephews.
