Frank Pevey
Frank Dodds Pevey, Sr., 89, of Crystal Springs, died Friday, May 2, 2014.
All services will be at Stringer Funeral Home in Crystal Springs, on Monday, May 5, 2014. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m., with the services following at 11:00. Interment will be at Old Crystal Springs Cemetery.
He was born September 12, 1924 in Crystal Springs, MS.
Mr. Pevey was a graduate of Mississippi State University. He worked many years for Delta & Pine Land Company in Scott, before returning to his hometown of Crystal Springs in 1978. During his years in Scott, he was a member of Benoit Union Church. At his death he had been a long time member of Crystal Springs United Methodist Church.
Mr. Pevey is preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine (Tina) Pevey, and his son, Jon N. Pevey.
Survivors include: daughter Lillian Prewitt (Carl) of Byram a son Frank Pevey, Jr. (Jerry Anne) of Hernando, and a daughter Wanda Johnson (Don) of Hernando; six grandchildren, Matthew Prewitt (Amanda), Brian Prewitt (Alison), Bethany McKnight (Chad), Ashley Pevey, Anne Marie Pevey and Ian Colmer, along with seven great-grandchildren.
