Norman M. Jackson, Jr.
Norman McClyde Jackson, Jr., 69, of Crystal Springs, died Sunday, August 31, 2014 at his home.
Visitation will be held from 5pm-8pm Monday at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church, Crystal Springs. Funeral services will be 2pm Tuesday at Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church with burial at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery.
Norman, a lifelong resident of Crystal Springs, retired after 28 years of service with the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks as a conservation officer, supervisor and hunter safety instructor. He was a member of the Mississippi National Guard for 12 years.
Norman was an active member of Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church of Crystal Springs and was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting. He was a friend of The Son’s of the Confederate Veteran’s. Norman was a Master Mason and member of the Crystal Springs Lodge No. 452 for more than 40 years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Norman M. Jackson, Sr., sister, Kay Jackson and brother, John Allen Jackson.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dianne Lewis Jackson; son, Tal Jackson of Crystal Springs; daughter, Cassity Curtis of Crystal Springs; mother, Vera Jackson; brother, Tommy Jackson; sister, Martha Jackson Mitchell and husband Ronald; grandson, Wes Curtis; 3 nieces, 4 nephews, great nieces and nephews.
