Dorothy Couvillon

Dorothy Couvillon, 85, of Crystal Springs, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in her home in Crystal Springs.

Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Thursday at Springs of Praise.  Services will be 11am Friday at Springs of Praise with burial at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.

 

Mrs. Couvillon was born born December 23, 1928, and lived in Grand Isle, La until moving to Crystal Springs in 1965.  She was a member of Springs of Praise Church in Crystal Springs over thirty years.  She worked several years at Bernstein & Sons and McCarty Foods before retiring.  She was offered a job in the cafeteria at Crystal Springs Middle School.  She worked there several years and retired again in 2000.  She enjoyed helping others and when she could she done volunteer work.

 

She is survived by her son, Daniel Couvillon Sr. of Monticello; daughters, Vallery Beckham of Crystal Springs and Pamela Barron of Harrisville; four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and many family members and friends.
