Polly Diane Ewert Edwards was the first born daughter of Paul W and Gloria J Ewert.  She was born June 9th, 1948 in Salina, KS.
Her father was in the Air Force so the family moved often from Okinawa, Japan to Texas and Greenville, MS. Polly spent most of her life in Mississippi.  She graduated from Murrah HS in 1966.  She continued her educations earning a BS in Cytotechnology from Mississippi College and her Masters from Ole Miss (Hotty Toddy!).
Her career as a Cytotechnologist spanned over 35 years and two different states.  She was actively involved for most of her adult life in a service sorority Preceptor Epsilon, part of the Beta Sigma Phi organization.  Over the years Polly served in several different officer positions and was voted Woman of the Year for 2014/15 for her chapter.
Polly had a dream for her retirement and she made it come true.  She designed and built EverAfter Wedding Chapel in Crystal Springs.  She thoroughly enjoyed hosting each and every wedding and event – doing all she could to make the day very special for her guests.
Polly was preceeded in death by her father, Paul W Ewert, her mother, Gloria J Brock, and her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Taylor Downing.

She is survived by her husband, Ricky Edwards, her son Bobby Allen Chambliss, brother Terry (Robin) Ewert, of Short Hills, NJ, his son Kyle and daughter Becky, brother Danny (Terri) Ewert, of Brandon, MS, his son Brooks Ewert and grandson Brenden Ewert, her step-daughter Mandy (Ellis) Varner, of Florence, MS and her sons Ethan Varner and Colten Varner.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to the sorority that Polly loved.  Donations may be sent to Preceptor Epsilon Service Fund, c/o Mary Ann Everett, 609 Berridge Dr., Ridgeland, MS 39157.
