Quin Burdette Rutland

Quin Burdette Rutland, 86, of Wesson, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016, at his home.

Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 21, at 10 a.m. from Mission Hill Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, Jan. 20 from 5-8 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service and Thursday, from 9 a.m. until the funeral at the church.

Mr. Rutland was born Oct. 23, 1929, to Quin Allen Rutland and Jessie Allie Pitts Rutland. He was a lifelong member of Mission Hill Baptist church where he was the longest tenured deacon in Mississippi for 68 years of service, and was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marva Gayle Randall Rutland and his parents.

Survivors include: daughters, Brenda Rutland Lusk and husband Tommy and Sonia Rutland Henry and husband John; grandchildren, T. Alan Lusk and wife Rebecca, Dianna Lusk Quirk and husband Scott, Erica Henry and Luke Henry; five great grandchildren, Cooper Lusk, Quinn Lusk, Kate Lusk, Brinley Quirk and Ainsley Quirk.
