Helen L. Riley, 86, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, January 25, 2016.
Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Thursday at Stringer Family Funeral Home. Services will be 2pm Friday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at Antioch Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Riley was a resident of Hazlehurst for 33 years and a member of Antioch Church. She was born to E. W. and Lula B. Adair on June 14, 1929 in Tippah County, MS.
Mrs. Riley was preceded in death by her parents, E. W. and Lula B. Adair, two brothers, Loyd Adair and Gaston Adair; three sisters, Hazle Little, Katherine Cline, and Estelle Douglas; and two step daughters, Betty Brown and Elizabeth Jane Skaggs.
Mrs. Riley is survived by son, James Derrick (Karen) of Hazlehurst; step children, Curly Paul of Berwyn, IL, Gordon Derrick of Boonville, and Michelle Kolanski of Nashville, TN; and two sisters, Faye Russell of Clinton and Martha L. Barlow of Hazlehurst.
