Toby Barnett Mitchell

Toby Barnett Mitchell, 79, of Merigold, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home. Celebration of Life services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at Ray Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Huber officiating.  Interment will be in Merigold Cemetery.
Mrs. Mitchell was born in Cleveland, Sept. 12, 1936, to Kenneth V. Barnett and Dorothy Taylor Barnett. Aug. 21, 1955, she married Clifford M. “Buddy” Mitchell, Sr. in Cleveland. She worked for 58 years as a Bank Manager with Cleveland State Bank, and was also a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Survivors include: children, Cindy Mitchell Davis (Mike) of Hazlehurst, Clifford M. Mitchell, Jr. (Fran) of Ridgeland, Jackie Mitchell Loup (Kenny) of Denham Springs, LA, and Jeremy F. Mitchell (JoAnna) of Brandon; siblings, Faye Cowart of Vicksburg, Don Barnett (Liz) of Homboldt, TN, Ron Barnett of Cleveland, Mary Ellen White of Shreveport, LA, K. Suzanne Barnett of Lak Ron Kon Koma, NY; eight grandchildren;  and four great-grandchildren; and her beloved K9 companion, Bo.
