Raymond McDaniel, Jr.

Raymond McDaniel, Jr., 78, of Crystal Springs, passed away June 12, 2017.  Visitation will be 5pm-8pm Wednesday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs.  Services will be 11am Thursday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.  Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.

Mr. McDaniel was a member of Crystal Springs United Methodist Church.  He was a Sector Forman at Illinois Central Gulf Railroad for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia McDaniel.

He is survived by his wife, Fay Carr McDaniel; son, Billy Ray McDaniel (Ann) of Jackson; daughter, Sherrie Leigh McDaniel Skipper (Kevin) of Port Barre, LA; step-daughter, Condace Slay of Crystal Springs; sisters, Carol Gill of London, KY, Edna Blair of Pittsburg, KY, Doris May of Richmond, IN, and Myrtle Spirey of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Charlee Elizabeth McDaniel, Sue Ann Alexis Skipper and Matthew Ryan McDaniel (Jenn); step grandchildren, Bailee Howell and Zack Howell.
