Thelma Stroud Prewitt

Thelma Stroud Prewitt of Crystal Springs went to be with her Lord July 1, 2017 at her residence at the age of 98.  She was born November 14, 1918 in Taylorsville, MS.

Visitation will be at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs, MS from 5pm-7pm Wednesday, July 5, 2017 and at First Baptist Church, Crystal Springs from 10am-11am Thursday, July 6, 2017.  Funeral services will be at First Baptist Church, Crystal Springs on Thursday at 11am.  Stringer Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Thelma was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Crystal Springs where she taught Sunday School for 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Mamie Stroud, 5 brothers, 4 sisters and her loving husband of 57 years, James Prewitt.

Thelma is survived by her daughters, Ouida (James) Gernentz of Baytown, TX and Brenda (Kevin) Toups of Crystal Springs, MS; grandchildren, Thad (Stephanie) Toups of Dallas, TX and Brittany (Chris) Broussard of Baton Rouge, LA; great grandchildren, Emmeline, Lowe and Lawson Toups;  Charley and Finley Broussard

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church of Crystal Springs Benevolence Fund or the Building Fund.
