Robert Owen Jones

Robert Owen Jones, 57, of Crystal Springs, died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at his home.

Visitation will be 5 -8 p.m. Friday at Highland Baptist Church. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, from Highland Baptist Church with interment in Johnson Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal springs is handling arrangements.

Mr. Jones was Men’s Ministry Director at Highland Baptist Church, as well as VBS director, Camp Director, Men’s Discipleship Training Teacher, RA Leader and a member of the adult choir. He served on various other committees over the years. He loved playing guitars, hunting, fishing, and riding his tractor. He was a member of the band, Tangent.

Survivors include: wife, Brenda J. Jones; sons, Owen Jones (Julie), Mark Merchant, and Randy Merchant (Melissa), all of Crystal Springs; sister, Diane Jones Burns (Steve) of Crystal Springs; and grandchildren, Merissa Merchant, Makalyn Merchant, Allyson Merchant, Skylar Clark, Jared Roddie, Jackson Roddie, and Shawn Oliver.
