Ruthey Geneva Plunkett, 89, Union Church, passed away August 24, 2017 at Copiah Living Center.

Services will be 10am Monday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at Pleasant Ridge Pentecostal Church Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Jake Cecil Plunkett; sons, David Glen Newell and Bennie Ray Newell both of Copiah County; daughters, Doris Morton of Brookhaven, Betty Nasif of Copiah County and Elsie Downing of Richland; brother, Jack Norton of Copiah County; sisters, Charlotte Pearl Loper of Florence and Cleo Watkin of Copiah County; 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.
