Frances Josephine Johnson Griswold

Frances Josephine Johnson Griswold Frances Josephine Griswold, 84, Ocala, Fla., died Dec. 18, 2019 with hospice care at the home of her daughter, Susan Bailey. Mrs. Griswold, a native of Crystal Springs, was the youngest of six children. Her mother died when she was four and it was always her goal to be the best wife and mother she could. She was a 1953 graduate of Crystal Springs Consolidated School. She moved to Illinois in 1954. She married Richard “Dick” Griswold March 18, 1955. In 1993 the Griswolds moved to On Top of the World Community, Ocala, Fla., where they became active. Mrs. Griswold was an avid golfer and card player. She lived independently until the last month of her life. Preceding Mrs. Griswold in death were her husband of 59 years, Richard “Dick” Griswold of Ocala, Fla.; her parents and her five siblings. She was interred alongside her husband Dec. 27 in Bushnell National Veterans Affairs Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Bailey of Ocala, Fla.
