Charline Herring Ryan

Charline Herring Ryan, 78, of Wesson, passed away Feb. 1, 2024, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Brookhaven. Graveside services were held Feb. 6 at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst handled arrangements.

Mrs. Ryan was retired from Signature Works in Hazlehurst and enjoyed her retirement. She enjoyed her cats, crocheting, working on genealogy, and the Ole Miss Rebels. She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, and United Daughters of the Confederacy, where she served as an officer of Brent Rifles Chapter.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Brevoort Butler (Bree) Ryan; her father, Charles Edward Herring; and brother, Charles Edward Herring Jr.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia D. Ryan, of Biloxi; Angela R. Odom, of Brookhaven; and Pamela J. “Jodi” Parker and husband Jeff, of Wesson; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and her mother, Sammie La Ree (Polly) Herring, of Wesson.
