Sherry Womack

Sherry Yates Womack, 76, a resident of Hazlehurst, passed away May 25, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held from 9 until 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, at Stringer Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Stringer Funeral Home, with interment at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Chad Ainsworth will officiate the services.

Mrs. Womack was born May 25, 1948, in Brookhaven, MS to Mike Yates and Kathleen Wade Womack. She was married to Frank Womack for 57 years. Mrs. Womack was a homemaker and loved to be with family and friends. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Mrs. Womack was preceded in death by her parents, Mike Yates and Kathleen Wade Womack.

Mrs. Womack is survived by her husband of 57 years, Frank Deberry Womack; son, Brad Womack, and his wife, Yami; sister, Mildred Ann Hart; and a host of friends who cherished and loved her.
