Preston Scott
Preston Scott, of Gary, Ind., was born Jan. 20, 1943, in Hazlehurst, to Rev. Ellison and Lee Etta Scott Sr. He passed away on Aug. 23, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John D. Scott, William “Bob” Scott; and sister, Katie Scott Dukes.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Regina LaFleur Scott; children, Michelle (Marcus) Nichols, Jeffery Scott, Joseph (Chelsi) Scott; six grandchildren; brothers, Ellison (Josie) Scott Jr., Walter “Mack” Scott, Rodger (Shirley) Scott, Arthur “Joe” (Kathy) Scott; sister, Inez (Charles) Jenkins; and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 5, and 9 to 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 6. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Friday. All services are at Guy & Allen Funeral Home, 2959 W. 11th Ave., Gary, Ind.
